After a grueling cold season, it is time for your car to take a breather and enjoy the fresh air of the Spring. Here’s how you can help the car address the consequences of the cold season.

Maintaining the Tires

It is time for the winter tires to go. Replace the winter tires with the car’s regular tires. While doing that, check and do tire maintenance as is necessary. Check the tire pressure, monitor the tread wear, and do tire rotation after at least 6,000 miles.

Check the Battery

Cold temperatures are not the best for the battery. It can take a serious beating during this period. As such, have the battery tested and make sure that is securely mounted. Also, the battery connections need to be rigid and corrosion free. If your battery has served you for more than five years, consider replacing it as soon as possible, especially during Spring time.
